Current Project

The website concept is derived from James P. Gee’s (June, 2012) Big "G" – what happens around a game and Little "g" – the game itself and Affinity Spaces (keynote at Games for Change 2012). Earthworks Rising is an affinity space in the process of becoming an informal, self-sustaining, participatory learning community with gamified content that uses storytelling and learner projects as a creative lens through which to understand earthworks, with age-appropriately tiered academic content.

Below is the prototype of Catch The Moon, a mini-game developed with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
